C3’s very own, Chris Fisher, and doubles partner Jonathon Ibarra of BG Baggers of Corpus competed in three local tournaments over this past weekend, including Slayin Gray tournament (11/14/20), 361 tournament (11/14/20), and Saint Anthony’s 1st Annual Cornhole Tournament (11/15/20). Chris and Jonathon took first place in all three events, for a “cornhole trifecta.”
The Saint Anthony’s Tournament was especially challenging with 44 teams over a six-hour tournament; competition became very good as the tournament wore on. The championship game was especially grueling with all players showing some fatigue in their shots. It was a crowded board most of the championship game with few easy paths to cornholes. Nonetheless, Chris and Johnathon found a way to win and pulled out the W.
